Task 1.  Study the dialogue below and then answer the questions.
Mrs. Indri: The winner of the story-telling competition in this class is Lina.
Congratulations, Lina!
Other students : Congratulations, Lina! ..... Congratulations, Lina!
Lina                   : Thank you Ma’am.
                             Thank you, everybody.
Edo      :   Lina, you are a very good story teller. I’m sure you will win the
                                story- telling competition. Good luck!  
Lina        : Thank you, Edo.
Dayu       : Congratulations on being the champion of the class, Lina! I
hopeyou will be the winner of the school’s competition, too           
Lina        : Thanks. I hope so, too
Answer the question based on the dialogue above.
1.      Based on the situation, where are they ?
2.      What are they talking about?
3.      Who congratulate Lina as the winner of the story-telling competitionfor
the first time?
4.      What does Lina say to respond to her friends?
5.      Write down the expressions of congratulation from the dialogue and also the 
       responses.
6.      Analyze the expressions above and then maka a pattern.
 
















Task 2.  Read‘BukuPaket Bahasa Inggris-Think Globally act Locally’ page 2-7 and find the
difficult words on those pages  and try understand them by making notes about
them.
(Contoh ‘note’: kosa kata sulit à competition = perlombaan

Task 3.  Understand ‘ BukuPaketBahasa Inggris-Think Globally act Locally’ pages 2-7 and
try to do the exercises on pages 8 & 9 based on the situation given.
